Grade 2 & 3 Support Workers - Aged Care

The Position

What you will do:

Are you looking to gain experience in the Aged Care Sector? KKCS have some wonderful entry level support worker opportunities to grow and develop your skills set in the industry. We offer strong training and development and regular catch ups with management who are committed to your ongoing success!

We are looking to fill multiple permanent part time opportunities with flexibility regarding contract sizes to suit your needs!

You’ll provide care to your consumers supporting their independence and improving their quality of life. Our Support Workers in Aged Care are committed to the delivery of flexible person centric supports across the Hunter Region. You will be looking after the most important people in our organisation-our people.

CHSP –  Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Flexible Respite (in and out of the home), Personal Care, Shopping and Transport.

HCP – Support in and out of the home with Community Access, Domestic Assistance, Personal Care, Shopping and Transport.

What you need to have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to build rapport with participants.
  • Deliver person centric care in a kind and compassionate manner
  • Be able to maintain professional boundaries and respecting of decisions, choices and lifestyles of others.
  • Sound computer skills and use of smart phone for word processing and email.
  • Administration duties- adherence to company process, support plans, detailed report writing and accurate note taking.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current First Aid/ CPR Certificate
  • Current Drivers licence and reliable, comprehensively insured motor vehicle.
  • Flexibility to travel within Hunter Region, working a variety of shifts including outside of business hours, weekends and public holidays.
  • Capable and willingness to provide support for domestic tasks including cooking, cleaning and travel to appointments.
