KKCS: More Than You Might Think
Last quarter, we shared just how broad the work of KKCS really is and the response was overwhelmingly the same:

It's something we hear often. Whether it's from job applicants, new community members or long-time supporters, many people know us for just one service without realising the many ways we're supporting our community every day.
So, we thought we'd have a little fun by busting a few common myths about KKCS...

"KKCS is just childcare."

While our Outside School Hours Care services are a well-known part of what we do, they're just one piece of the puzzle. Every day we support children, families, older Australians and people living with disability through a diverse range of community services.

"KKCS only works from The Centre."

Our teams work right across the Hunter, delivering services in schools, homes, community spaces and workplaces. From OOSH services and home modifications to community events and outreach programs, we're where our community needs us most.
MYTH
"Home modifications are just renovations."
FACT
Odyssey Home Modifications creates practical solutions that help older Australians and people living with disability remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes, often making life-changing improvements through relatively small modifications.

"You have to be a client to be involved with KKCS."

There are plenty of ways to connect with us. From attending community events and volunteering, to accessing Tax Help, supporting fundraising initiatives or simply dropping in to learn more about our services.

"It takes a small team to do all that."
