Gymnastics Coach

The Position

What you will do:

Reporting to the Centre Manager you will provide guidance and leadership to all gymnastics programs. You will work with young people of all abilities to provide on floor coaching for a variety of recreational and competitive classes. You will support other coaches to ensure future professional development.

Kurri Kurri Community Services (KKCS) has been supporting individuals within the Hunter Region for over 35 years, providing tailored person centric support to empower individuals, groups and families through high quality meaningful services. What you need to have:

  • Positive attitude when working with young people of all abilities.
  • Experience in the delivery of coaching for a variety of recreational an competitive class levels.
  • Compliance to governing bodies to ensure safe participation and to increase/ retain participants.
  • Supportive nature that has experience in developing junior coaches.
  • Engage with community members to increase KKCS brand awareness.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment by upholding KKCS Work Health and Safety policy and process.

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be adaptable and customer service focused.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
  • National Police Check
  • Working With Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Current First Aid

Desirable Criteria

  • Intermediate or Advanced coaching accreditation preferably in Gymnastics for All
  • Intermediate accreditation or adequate experience in Women's Artistic Gymnastics

Coaching accreditation or equivalent would be highly regarded however not essential as this can be arranged through KKCS for the right applicant.
